Day 2: The Crush

Well, right now, my crushes are pretty awesome.
Handsome, incredible character, close to the Lord, hard workers, patriotic...
That's right. They consist of missionaries and Captain America! Haha (:
I love the missionaries. No worries - I'm not an awkward person who tries to distract them from their work! More of an admiring person from the distance. But goodness just shines from these guys. I love them!
As for Captain America, I admire him because he's not the 'cool guy'. His character came before he was super attractive, and he just never gives up. He loves his country, and he never turns from what he knows is right. And turns out to be incredibly attractive. Haha. If he was real and LDS, I would totally date him. But I definitely like him for his character the most (:
So these are my crushes right now. Still on the search for guys with these qualities, and am running into quite a few, but there's none I'm really super attracted to. Mostly friends. So these are the consistent traits I love in a guy. And.. that's all I'm going to share on the blog (: So yup!

Day 1

In my life, I've had many best friends. I have been so blessed to have just incredible people in my life, always. How awesome is that? But here are some of the most influential.

Rhylee
Rhylee was my best friend *couch sister cough* during middle school. How do I even describe our relationship? Wacky. Hilarious. Pee your pants laughing. Total blondeness. Cute boys. Drawing - on our pants, on our faces, on my wall. Making up songs. Singing and dancing always. Sharing our testimonies. Doing weird things. We were so cool (: and so funny! Aw man. Some of my most favorite memories are with this girl. I look back and just always smile when I think of her. We still keep in touch, and I still love this girl to death. I hope to see her alot more in the future (: and I hope she's very, very happy. and I am so grateful for the ways she has shaped me as a person, how she built me up and taught me so much, and for the awesome times we had!

Ashlee
Ashlee was my best friend basically all during high school. I know she's definitely reading this - the last thing I would doubt is her blog stalking skills ;) That I love! Haha. (: Anyways, some of my most favorite memories are also with this gal. We became bus buddies on the ride to Seattle, and the rest of our friendship was history. We had some hilarious, great times. The number one thing I remember about our friendship though, is how much she helped me. She came during a hard period of my life, and helped me grow so much. She helped me have confidence and taught me alot. No matter what, I will always be grateful I had her as a friend! I hope to keep in touch, and want to someday go to her wedding and later see her cute litte kids. This girl is an awesome person.

Amber
Amber is one of the greatest examples I've ever had! She was one of my closest friends my senior year. I can't believe we didn't really know eachother before that! She is amazing. Strong, beautiful, a little blonde, hilarious... Haha. I will never forget being in Madrigal carpool together, having funfetti cake and princess movie marathons, working in seminary counsel together, and having our girl nights which always ended up going not quite as expected haha (: I love this girl so much! And I look up to her in so many ways still. I can't wait until I can see her again! Snort snort!

Spencer
I'm not sure if this guy should be on the best friends list or a different one. But I figured he deserved a spot here. He was one of my closest friends my junior & senior year of high school. He always did very kind things for me - he is one of the most giving people I have ever met, whether it's a much needed listening ear, a fun hangout, or a thoughtful just random act of kindness. That sounds super cheesy, but it's not haha. He's a great guy, and I sure hope he ends up desperately happy, with a cute little wife fishing somewhere. I will always be grateful for what he did for me, and how he helped shaped me into who I am today.

There are so many other people who should be on here - Camie, Allie O, Kaitlyn, Katharine (my dear sister), Chris, Seth, ect. I am so so grateful for all you guys - you have made my life a joy, and have made all the difference! But I am off to work and am out of time :( So, sadly, your thankful paragraphs are in my mind, and probably in letters
Thanks for my friends. I love you guys (:

Nov 2, 2011

You would not believe how many crazy things are happening lately. It is INSANE. My schedule is crazy! Ha... sometimes I get feeling so overwhelmed that my mind goes into panic mode. I start planning on living in a shed in the woods, growing vegetables and subsisting on animals and trade for the rest of my life.
I'm not even joking. Then I remember modern day conveniences - such as soap, insulin, deoderant, ect,
and that usually drags me back to reality. I just get so tired and... overwhelmed.
I'm learning a lot though, I think. I hope. It's hard to say sometimes with all these crazy things going on. I am just growing very slowly, with imperceptable changes here and there. But that's growth, right? It's good.
Anyways...
I need to stop being such a worry wart, and stop over analyzing everything.
Just have fun with it.
This time of life is awesome, and exciting, and hard, and great. It's supposed to be like that.
and even though it's tough, I really am enjoying it. As much as I complain
(secretly on the blog - I try really hard not to complain. But blogging is a great outlet for that. Please forgive me!)
I am very happy with where I'm heading in life.
So it's good (:

Halloween!!

Was SO fun!! I got to hang out with all the kids in what seems like FOREVER.
So Isaac dressed up as this freaky gorilla head wearing a suit, carrying a brief case.. haha! Funniest thing of my life!
I dressed up as a pirate/Paul Revere, Mommy was a redneck hunter w/ a Bible & Constitution (haha), Hannah was a colonial woman, Jacob was a pirate,
Adam was a knight, and Peter was the most adorable lion I have ever seen.
I even got to go watch the elementary school costume parade! They were SO adorable!!
I love little kids wearing costumes, especially my adorable brothers!
I love Halloween.. and snitching candy from the kids. Twix, Hersheys, and tootsie rolls. Mmm, so good (:
Then today class got cancelled - woohoo! So I got to just go to art with my crazy art project - I'll put pictures up later - and head straight home! It was so great. I watched some oldie films while cross stitching, helped Mommy go through some old pictures, hung out with the kids, sipped chicken noodle soup while reading.. yeah, fall is so great (:
The crispness in the air, wearing patterned soft sweaters and boots, drinking hot chocolate...
tis' delightful!
I've been feeling like a little kid this week, reverting back to my childhood, and I love it.
:)
Peter is so adorable!! Cutest lion ever!

It's Bigfoot! Funniest. photoshoot. ever. :D

Jon Schmidt - Michael Meets Mozart - 1 Piano, 2 Guys, 100 Cello Tracks- ...

More John Schmidt & Steven Sharp Nelson. So awesome!

Steven Sharp Nelson - The Cello Song - Bach is back (with 7 more cellos)...

Last night John Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson performed at the Washington DC temple visitors center. So a group of about 20 of us from the branch drove up and saw it. It was INCREDIBLE. This was probably my favorite - so, so, sooo good! Wow! Definitely one of the coolest performances I've ever been to. It was awesome :)
